Randwick Council plans to fast-track changes to its planning controls that will benefit company title dual occupancy owners.
The Council's proposed changes seek to bring its controls into alignment with the NSW Government's new code for low rise, medium density housing, which comes into effect from 6 July, 2018. The rules would allow new dual occupancy homes to be built and subdivided on blocks as small as 225sqm – almost half Randwick’s existing minimum lot size of 400sqm.
These changes have the potential to make a huge impact in the area, opening up vast opportunities for new subdivisions and developments.
