Opera Buffs

For opera lovers, the Sydney Festival is hosting a night of opera in the Domain on Saturday 24 January with a toast to opera's most famous finest arias. Hear Australia’s brightest stars, under the stars, sing with the magnificent backing of a full orchestra.

Toast the crowd with Traviata, enjoy one fine evening with Butterfly and experience the midsummer night’s dream that brings opera to the people. Dress up – or not – it’s your night to enjoy the power of the human voice in the kind of communal, cultural celebration Sydney loves best.

The 2015 line-up features two dazzling sopranos, Lorina Gore and Natalie Aroyan, as well as the gorgeous mezzo-soprano Anna Dowsley. Leading the men is tender-hearted tenor Diego Torre along with commanding baritones Andrew Jones and Shane Lowrencev. The program includes exhilarating overtures from Rossini and Saint-Saens, popular arias from Carmen, The Barber of Seville, Turandot and Tosca, and the most loved of all opera duets from The Pearl Fishers.

I love this quote. It’s exactly how I feel about the work I do. For over 20 years my passion has been working in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs property market. It’s a job I truly love. In a place I live and adore.
